About

Meet Dr. Ocampo

I am Dr. Paloma Ocampo, a bilingual (Spanish-English) Licensed Psychologist with active licenses in Texas and Missouri. Born in Mexico City and raised in Texas in a Spanish-speaking home, I consider myself bicultural and understand the importance of providing culturally sensitive psychological services. I completed my doctoral training at the National Psychology Training Consortium - Central Region in Springfield, Missouri, where I worked with a predominately rural population with various issues such as trauma, substance use, chronic illness, depression, and anxiety, to name a few.

My resume includes work in university counseling centers, schools, hospitals, detention centers, community mental health facilities, and crisis services. As such, I have worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds with a variety of presenting concerns. I stay current with the field of psychology through continuing education, workshops, and attending regional and national psychology conferences. In my downtime, I enjoy going to coffee shops, reading, and spending time in nature.
