Rates & Insurance

Payment Methods

My accepted payment methods include:

  • Debit card
  • All major credit cards
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

* Payment is due at the beginning of each session.

I use the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system TherapyAppointment to host my practice's information. When you become a client, you will input your preferred credit/debit card information, HSA, or FSA into your Client Portal profile.

Please contact me to confirm whether I am taking insurance as this will be phased out in the near future.

Ocampo Psychology & Wellness is an out-of-network provider all other insurance providers. This means I don't bill insurance companies for my services but you may still be able to use your insurance if you have out-of-network benefits.

You will pay for services upfront and your insurance company may reimburse you according to your plan for what you paid. Upon request, I would be happy to provide you with an invoice (known as a "superbill") for you to submit directly to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.

The benefit of working with an out-of-network psychologist is that your records are entirely confidential and will not be entered into an insurance company database. Please note, submitting a superbill requires me to give you a diagnosis, which will become part of your medical record.

How do I actually use my out-of-network benefits?

You can contact your insurance provider by calling the customer service number listed on the back of your insurance card and ask about mental or behavioral health benefits.

If you have out-of-network benefits, they typically will reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session. Most insurance companies have you upload your monthly superbill online and then they will mail you a check with your reimbursement. You can contact your insurance provider by calling the customer service number listed on the back of your insurance card and ask about mental or behavioral health benefits.

Consider the following questions when determining if your insurance will reimburse you:

  • Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?
  • What is my out-of-network deductible?
  • How much of my deductible has been met this year?
  • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
  • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
  • How much will I be reimbursed for a 45-minute psychotherapy session (CPT code 90834) and for a diagnostic evaluation (CPT code 90791)?
  • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?
  • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

Although you can submit your out-of-network claims for free to your insurance company, some people prefer paying a small fee to a company called Reimbursify who will submit your claims for you and make it easier to navigate insurance issues. I have no financial relationship to this company but want to provide you with information and options that can simplify and ease the process of receiving your out-of-network reimbursements quickly. Initial Session / Diagnostic Evaluation

Upon confirmation of your appointment, I will send you new client paperwork to complete before our first session via TherapyAppointment. Everything is completed electronically. If you are using your insurance through Headway, you will complete a few short forms from them as well. I will send a Zoom link prior to our appointment. Our first visit will be spent understanding your current goals and concerns, going over any relevant history or background, reviewing any questions you have about the paperwork, therapy in general, and practice policies.

Initial session appointments cost $275 and are 60 minutes.

Online Therapy

45 minutes $225

Single Session Therapy

45 minutes $225

Please note: I do not provide superbills for Single Session Therapy and these sessions are not billable to insurance.

Psychological Assessments

Results are available in 10 business days (unless stated otherwise below). If you need results in less than 10 business days, please see rush fees below.

Intelligence (IQ) testing (results available within 1 day)
Includes report with scores and explanation of what the tasks measure. For further discussion about results, you can opt to schedule a 25-minute follow-up phone call. Since not everyone wants this discussion, I charge separately for this feedback phone call ($125).
Comprehensive Assessment
Includes diagnostic interview, feedback session, intelligence/cognitive functioning (more in-depth comparted to the brief measure of intelligence), brief academic testing (math, reading, spelling), and personality and emotional functioning. Depending on the referral question, the assessment may include executive functioning measures and behavioral assessments (completed by parents/legal guardians and teachers). You’ll receive a written report that details all testing and findings, and recommendations on how to move forward.

ADHD Assessments

Option 1 (results available within 2-3 days)
Includes diagnostic interview, anxiety and depression screeners, ADHD rating scales (self-report, parent and teacher forms) and feedback session. You'll receive a 1-page letter with a formal ADHD diagnosis (if warranted). There is no report given at this evaluation, just the letter. This option is best if a detailed report is not necessary for your current needs.
Option 2
Includes all of option 1 plus a written report that details all testing and findings, and recommendations on how to move forward.
Option 3 (children and high school students)
Includes all of option 1 plus your choice of 2 of the following measures: brief measure of intelligence, academic testing (math, reading, spelling), or emotional functioning. You’ll receive a written report that details all testing and findings, and recommendations on how to move forward.
Option 4 (adults only)
Includes all of option 1 plus a brief measure of intelligence and personality/emotional functioning. You'll receive a written report that details all testing and findings, and recommendations on how to move forward.

Rush Fees

Results can be expedited for an additional fee. To maintain the quality of my work, I cannot accommodate requests for results of assessments in less than four business days.

8-9 business days $500
6-7 business days $1,000
4-5 business days $1,500

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
